This should be an easy find in a regular sized, screw top container that is easily accessible by car or boat. The locals know this area as Stinky Bay due to the smell which occasionally comes from the disused and overgrown dam in this bay, although the smell may be absent if the weather has been dry of late. The dam can be difficult to make out and you're unlikely to see any water with the only clue of its location being the dense undergrowth. When coming from the parking area it's best to stay to the right hand path otherwise you may find yourself wading into it!
Despite the dam (and potential smell), this is a lovely area with beautiful water views and some excellent bush walks out to Wangi Point and up to the historic Ridge with its disused WW II gun emplacements. Many yachties anchor for days at a time within the bay and enjoy the shelter and quiet seclusion that it affords from both the weather and other people.
Park in the parking bay and take the downhill path on the right. While here why not walk along the foreshore or follow one of the many paths that trace through the area and perhaps even go hunt down some of the other caches around here. There are picnic tables, public toilets and free BBQ facilities at the nearby van park just north of this cache.
As this is our first attempt at placing a cache, your feedback would be especially appreciated. Good luck!
FTF congratulations to Marcus Vitruvius!
