L'emplacement de la cache est sur le site de l'Eglise Saint-Laurent dans la commune du Lamentin.
LE SITE :
Erigée à la fin du XVII siècle, l'église Saint-Laurent a pris son allure actuelle au XIX et XX siècle. La galerie circulaire située autour du choeur, destinée à augmenter le nombre de places disponibles, est construite durant une période d'importants travaux (1848-1865), sous l'impulsion de l'abbé Mauclair. En 1856, la paroisse fait l'acquisition de trois cloches, qui sont bénies par l'évêque du diocèse, Monseigneur Le Herpeur, puis d'une quatrième. Au début du XX siècle, la reconstruction du clocher est réalisée par le maître charpentier Léonce Bayardin. Cinq nouvelles cloches y sont installées , parrainées par des notables de la paroisse. Entre 1933 et 1934 une grande restauration de l'église a lieu, avec la construction des nefs latérales en béton, le renforcement de la charpente, la réfection des marches du parvis et l'installation des premiers vitraux. Ses vitraux inscrits à l'Inventaire des Monuments Historiques depuis 1995, sont protégés. Ils ont été réalisés par maître Verrier. Plusieurs saints sont représentés sur fond de peltes de feuillages. L'Autel est un don de Madame Marchet, née Lamartinière, épouse d'Etienne Marchet, notaire et maire de la commune en 1848. Deux panneaux peints, dus au révérend père Arostéguy, datant de 1955 furent inscrits en 1994 à l'inventaire supplémentaire des monuments historiques.

In 1856, the parish purchases three bells, which are blessed by the bishop of the diocese, Lord Le Herpeur, then the fourth. At the beginning of the XXth century, the reconstruction of the bell tower is realized by master carpenter Léonce Bayardin. Five new bells are installed there, sponsored by notables of the parish. Between 1933 and 1934 a big restoration of the church takes place, with the construction of the concrete side naves, the strengthening of the skeleton, the repair of the steps of the square and the installation of the first stained-glass windows. Ils stained-glass windows registered on the Inventory of Historic monuments since 1995, are protected. They were realized by master Verier.. Several saints are represented on the background of peltes of foliages. The Altar is a donation of Madam Marchet, been born Lamartinière, wife of Etienne Marchet, solicitor and mayor of the municipality in 1848. Two painted panels, due to the reverend father Arostéguy, dating 1955 were registered in 1994 on the additional inventory of historic monuments.
