GeocachingNSW would like to extend an invitation to the geocaching community to attend the Association’s sixth Annual General Meeting with a Meet’n’Greet following the AGM formalities.
Details as follows:
Date: Sunday, 3rd August, 2014
Venue: Carlingford Bowling Club, cnr Pennant Hills Rd and Evans Rd, Carlingford
Time: 10:30am for the AGM (GeocachingNSW members only), approximately 11:15am for the Meet’n’Greet where all geocachers are welcome to attend.
Transport: Carlingford Railway Station is close by and there are bus services that pass the club.
Dress: It is a club, so please dress appropriately, including footwear (thongs are not permitted.) Don't forget to sign in as you enter the club.
Dining: Meals from the club’s bistro are available from 12:00pm.
At the AGM, reports will be tabled discussing the Association’s activities for the past year as well as the financial status of the Association. This will be followed by the election of the new committee to steer the Association for the coming twelve months. Please consider nominating for the committee as many hands make light work. During the Meet’n’Greet part of the event, we have again been asked by Groundspeak to assist in judging entries in this year's Geocaching International Film Festival. Last year’s finalists were of a high standard and those in attendance enjoyed watching them and voting for their favourite. We are looking forward to seeing what is on offer this time around. After the screenings, attendees can continue chatting about all things geocaching. This is also a perfect time for geocachers, old and new, to pick up some tips on finding and hiding geocaches. Don't forget you can also swap geocoins and travel bugs at the event.
