BYOP! This series of caches was inspired by my friend Wayne and some other intrepid souls who think it is fun to pedal their bikes up the hill from Ashcroft toward the mine. Once a year a race is held starting at the railway tracks in Ashcroft and ending at the brake check about half way to the mine. This race is called the Ashcroft Hellclimb. I have called this series the Highland Valley Hell Climb. These caches are all close to the highway. Please do not trespass onto private property. You do not have to climb through any fences or open any gates to get to any of these caches. The terrain is often uneven, and there are lots of rough plants to scratch your legs and arms, so dress appropriately. You will likely encounter wildlife as well. There can be lots of traffic on this road, so keep your vehicle and yourself well off the highway lanes. All the containers are camouflaged: five are small lock & locks, fifty are pill bottles, and fifty are short pieces of 3/4" PVC pipe with one cap glued on and the other removable. There is a small log in each cache, as well as an FTF card.
