Middle Saranac Lake is the smallest of three connected Saranac Lakes. It has camping, swimming and boating.
I enjoy the glacial erratics we've been finding on these journeys. Cache is a camo'd pill bottle near a lovely erratic. FTF takes the Adk Hiker pin. There is a pencil in the cache.
Follow the trail to the beach at Middle Saranac Lake and take a swim or enjoy a picnic lunch. The water is shallow for a long ways, so is great for children and dogs.
