This cache was placed on the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy landing, more commonly known as D-Day. This newly erected memorial is a great addition to the City of Daphne to show our appreciation and debt to the families of our servicemen and women who have paid the ultimate price defending our freedom. Have a moment of silence as you reflect on the "Battlefield Cross"; This is the customary arrangement of boots, rifle and helmet used by soldiers to memorialize and remember fallen comrades in arms. May GOD continue to bless these United States of America.
