Wolffbudz: Well, the forest service passed, and fell a tree on the cache. Too bad it took an apocalyptic fire for them to fix this road. Also too bad they only see it as a fireline. Lots of local history out here. Almost all forgotten, but by a few.

" 'Tis but a scratch". Ah, but a deep one. Mother Nature keeps hacking at this road, but it stubbornly keeps being a road.
Up until a few years ago most 4x4s could navigate the washout, but after the 2010-11 winter things really changed. Since then only bikes, atvs, and well equipted 4x4s could make it. Now the Forest Service has banned OHVs from the gravel pit up, only the 4x4s are allowed up here. Should make for quieter weekends up here anyway. Update 9/13/14. Original was muggled, so I replaced it with an ammo box in a better place.
