Geocache Description:

Bring a postcard to leave or swap!

Easy letterbox cache for your enjoyment.

According to Wiki, a postcard or post card is a rectangular piece of thick paper or thin cardboard intended for writing and mailing without an envelope. There are novelty exceptions, such as wood postcards, made of thin wood, and copper postcards sold in the Copper Country of the U.S. state of Michigan, and coconut "postcards" from tropical islands. In some places, it is possible to send them for a lower fee than for a letter. Stamp collectors distinguish between postcards (which require a stamp) and postal cards (which have the postage pre-printed on them). While a postcard is usually printed by a private company, individual or organization, a postal card is issued by the relevant postal authority. The study and collecting of postcards is called deltiology. Postcardese is the name of the specific style of writing used on postcards that involves short sentences and jumping from one subject to another.

With the ever increasing proliferation of online communication, I am finding that sadly, fewer and fewer people send physical postcards from their trips.

There are postcards from New Zealand, feel free to take or swap these. Then there are some postcards from overseas - please leave another one if you take one. Finally, there are some addressed postcards - feel free to browse through these, but leave them in the cache thanks!

Cache contains a separate logbook and stamp for letterboxing, please leave in the cache, these are not trading items. The cache is also listed on the Letterboxing North America site under no. LbNA # 67400.

Placed with permission.
