B14: Soma Cube Puzzle Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dr. Luxardo: I checked this weekend, and could not locate the field puzzle. Sadly I think it's grown legs and walked away. Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed the cache.

Geocache Description:

LM

The Soma Cube is a solid dissection Puzzle invented by Piet Hein in 1933. Seven pieces made out of unit cubes must be asembled into a 3x3x3 cube. The pieces can also be used to make a variety of other 3D shapes. I have made my puzzle into 5 pieces to limint the number of possible solutions to 4. An un-altered puzzle has 120 possible solutions. What you are looking for are coordinates reading left to right on adjacent sides. If you have any numbers that are sideways... you are doing it wrong. The attached photo is a sample showing the coordinates for my Game of Thrones mystery cache (GC4AT02). This is only a sample of both the coordinate layout, and a possible solution(the wrong solution of course). Your numbers will be stamped into the metal and not drawn on with a sharpie. When you get to the posted coordinates you will find a container with both the puzzle and a kitchen timer. You do not need to post your puzzle solving time, but I tink it would be fun to see all the different times. In the event of multiple cachers challenging for the FTF.... please pass the puzzle on to the the next in line after 5 minutes of failed attempts. It's only fair. Once the puzzle is solver, head over to GZ Good luck
