Another cache hidden on the back roads around the town of Dundurn leading to my old stomping grounds of Detachment Dundurn. I have been naming caches after some of my favorite songs and because I love so many classics from the 70's and 80's, I have a never ending supply of cache names it seems! I have ended up making a bit of a trail in this area for other cachers to enjoy, hopefully when there are some nice summer breezes in the air. The day I hid this cache, it was rainy and VERY windy, not breezy at all! The wind and rain actually caused some damage to my cache 'host' so it isn't hidden in the original method planned but it's still good to go.
I love driving around in the country in the summer time, windows down, radio on, fresh air, and well, you get the picture....I love the song "Summer Breeze"-it conjures up memories from times past...It was released in 1972, and has been described as 'one of those relentlessly appealing 1970's harmony-rock anthems, appropriately ubiquitous on the radio and in the memory' (Source:Wikipedia) That sums it up nicely!
You'll likely recognize these lyrics.....
See the curtains hangin' in the windows
In the evening on a Friday night
Little light is shining through the window
Lets me know everything's alright....
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind...." (metrolyrics.com)
Enjoy the countryside summer breezes while seeking out this and other caches in the area....! Have fun!
