This is a nice little micro cache, please handle with care, it can be a bit fragile.
Another cache named after one of my favorite songs from my childhood, BUT this isn't the REAL name of the song....you may know it as 'The Flower Girl' but its true name is THE RAIN, THE PARK AND OTHER THINGS. The song is unusual being one of the few vocal works whose lyrics do not contain the song's title. The song was recorded by the pop band THE COWSILLS in 1967 and reached No. 1 in Canada's RPM Magazine Charts. The Cowsills is an American singing family/group from Newport, RI and consisted of 6 siblings and their mother. The Cowsills family was the inspiration for the 1970 launch of the tv show THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY.
Now, do you recognize these lyrics?
"I saw her sitting in the rain
Raindrops falling on her
She didn't seem to care
She sat there and smiled at me
And I knew (I knew, I knew, I knew, I knew)
She could make me happy (happy, happy)
Flowers in her hair, flowers everywhere
I love the flower girl
Oh I don't know just why
She simply caught my eye
I love the flower girl she seemed so sweet and kind
She crept in to my mind....."
