Welcome to the Village of Glenwood, located just off the historic "Blue Trail" south of Fort Macleod at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. This picturesque community of 287 enjoys some of the most magnificant views of the southern part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain. Settled over 100 years ago by Mormon settlers, many desendants of the original settlers still reside here welcoming others who enjoy the peach and tranquility of the area. Glenwood was named for Glen Edward Wood, son of the founder Edward J. Wood in 1908. Glenwood is located in the "Middle of Everywhere", we are 20 minutes from Cardston, 30 minutes from Fort Macleod or Pincher Creek and 40 minutes away from Waterton Lakes National Park, and 10 minutes away from the village of Hillspring and the Great Canadian Barn Dance. Be sure to have plenty of gas in your tank, as we don't currently have a gas station. Food is available Monday through Saturday at various places in town during the summer months but on Sundays and in the winter please come prepared for no facilities .
