CPwanderer clicked over a big one on 11^th May 2014, making his 8000^th find on “The Gruffalo’s Lair”, whilst on a caching run with sushilord and Ismartis.

It was an honour to be with CP when he made his 8000^th find and I wanted to put out a cache to mark this special occasion.  Knowing that Ferries-McDonald Conservation Park is his favourite park it seemed the obvious location for this special tribute.

I’ve had some great adventures and some real fun times with CP in the journey to reach this milestone.

Some of the highlights….

• CP riding the ladybird chariot leading up to the big one!
• At Oz Mega he was our Charlie as Dr Owl, JJ52, Clare007 and I became CP’s Angels.
• My hiking boots falling apart on a CP expedition and having to be taped back together in the field so I could keep going…..
• CP’s geocaching bootcamp at Waitpinga, with Dr Owl
• Putting out Enchanted Forest caches - poor CP ended up with green paint on his clothes as my caches weren’t 100% dry!
• Cache kidnapping, it only happened once and for a very good reason I might add!  (The cache was dutifully returned soon after it had visited a special patient in hospital).
• Lots of walks in rain and sun, FTF's and silvers, series.............

I’ll be looking forward to lots of new adventures as you work towards to your 9000^th find.
