Fairy Hill Settlers Traditional Cache

During the long dreary winter months we used Google Earth to find locations that would be interesting to place some caches.  Fairy Hill was one of them.

Fairy Hill was a hamlet in the RM of Longlakaton No. 219.  It seems to have been populated by many European settlers, mostly German.  Life must have been hard for the settlers as many of them passed away at a very young age.

Take some time to visit with the settlers from long ago.  Where did you come from and why?  Why did they die so young?
