The Englishman's Boy is a novel by Guy Vanderhaeghe (born & raised in Esterhazy, Sk.) which won the Governor Generals award for English language fiction in 1996. It was also nominated for the Giller Prize. The book tells of the events of the Cyprus Hills massacre.
The Englishman's Boy premiered as a mini series for the CBC, March 2, 2008 and won six Gemini awards.
It was filmed at different locations: near the Alberta border, the Killdeer badlands, outside the Cyprus Hills, along the Saskatchewan River and at Fort Qu"Appelle.
The photo we found on Google Earth was right here, down the hillside where the filming took place! How neat is that!
You are looking for a camoed container, located not at the area of the filming, but near the old farmyard. Enjoy the scenery here!
