Founded in 1848, Greenlawn Cemetery covers over 360 acres (1.5 km2) and contains nearly 150,000 interments.
The crypts span the breadth of late-Victorian and turn-of-the-century architectural movements, including some styled in the Mesopotamian–Egyptian style favored during the burst of "Egyptian mania" enjoyed after Howard Carter's discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1922.
Greenlawn Cemetery contains some amazing places to bird watch (or turtle watch) and an excellent nature path. We went looking for a cache here that had been removed so decided to replace it with our own. .....enjoy a nice walk on the nature path while seeking this cache.
This is a tradable cache. BYOP!
Green lawn is open during daylight hours only. Until 5pm in the winter and 7pm in the summer. Be sure to leave before closing or else they will lock the gate and you'll be stuck until you can reach an employee.
