Cache Info: You are searching for container hidden in Panola Mountain State Park just off the Rockdale Rive PATH Trail. This historic Alexander Barn is a physical reminder that, until recently, this land along the PATH was a farming landscape. Landscape architect Ed Alexander owned much of the area between the South River and Alexander Lake until he sold portions to expand Panola Mountain State Park. This area can be a high muggle area at times. Stealth is required. Enjoy the scenery as you hike or bike these trails. From here you can access multiple trails for an extended adventure. Remember to bring plenty of water along with you!

This nature preserve, like other Georgia woodlands, has ticks during all but the winter season. Take precautions that include wearing a hat, a long sleeve shirt, and long pants with legs tucked into socks. Wear light colored clothing for ease of spotting ticks, especially deer ticks that are the size of a pin head. Use bug spray with the chemical DEET and especially spray around the ankle area.
