This search will bring you along the windy trail between Alexander Lake and Alexander Barn in Panola Mountain State Park. This cache is located among a patch of granite outcrops off the Alexander Lake Loop trail. Enjoy the scenery as you hike or bike these trails. Watch your step as the terrain can become slippery after it rains .

Panola Mountain State Park offers a rich blend of history and nature. One of its historic gems is the Alexander Barn, a structure that once served as an outbuilding for the Alexander family’s farm. Nearby, Alexander Lake provides a tranquil setting for activities such as fishing and canoeing, all within a serene natural environment. The park’s most remarkable feature, however, is the impressive granite rock formations at Panola Mountain, part of the larger Piedmont Plateau. These ancient geological formations are over 300 million years old and offer a unique backdrop for hiking and outdoor exploration. With its mix of natural beauty and historical significance, the park is a great destination for both history enthusiasts and outdoor lovers alike. .
