This search will bring you along the winding trail between Alexander Lake and Alexander Barn in Panola Mountain State Park.
The cache is located among a patch of granite outcrops just off the Alexander Lake Loop Trail.
Enjoy the scenery as you hike or bike these trails, and watch your step as the terrain can become slippery after rain.
Panola Mountain State Park offers a rich blend of history and nature. One of its historic gems is the Alexander Barn,
a structure that once served as an outbuilding for the Alexander family’s farm. Nearby, Alexander Lake provides a
tranquil setting for fishing and canoeing within a serene natural environment.
The park’s most remarkable feature is its impressive granite rock formations, part of the Piedmont Plateau.
These ancient formations are over 300 million years old and create a dramatic backdrop for hiking and outdoor exploration.
With its mix of natural beauty and historical significance, Panola Mountain State Park is a rewarding destination
for both history enthusiasts and outdoor lovers.
