This search will bring you along the Rockdale River Trail in Panola Mountain State Park.
The cache is located near a resting spot just off the trail.
Enjoy the scenery as you hike or bike these trails.
The Rockdale River Trail can be strenuous at times, so be sure to carry plenty of water.
Please re-hide the cache carefully so others can enjoy the experience as well.
Panola Mountain State Park offers visitors a chance to experience the natural beauty of the South River through
a variety of trails and recreation opportunities. While there may not be a single, designated overlook platform,
several points along the trail system provide peaceful river views and a great place to pause and take it all in.
One popular option is the South River Trail, a paved route that follows the river and is well suited for hiking,
biking, and wildlife watching. It offers scenic views of the South River as you explore the park.
Another nearby option is the Rock Outcrop and Watershed Trail, a short loop through forest that highlights the area’s
unique geology and watershed features, with occasional views that help connect the landscape to the river system.
For those who want to experience the South River up close, the South River Water Trail provides access points for kayaking
and paddling. Guided paddles may be available at times through partner organizations and Panola Mountain State Park.
