This cache gets you to the area of the old, abandoned Tin Queen Mica Mine. The mine itself is to the south, on the other side of the road. There is also an old cabin near here, along with other old rusty historical artifacts. Please pay close attention to the signs that are posted nearby, which reads as follows:
NOTICE: Ancient ruins, archeological resources, fossils, and historical remnants in the vicinity are fragile and irreplaceable. The Antiquities Act of 1906 and Archeological Resources Protection Act of 1979 protect them for the benefit of all Americans. DO NOT DIG, REMOVE, INJURE OR DESTROY ANY HISTORIC OR PREHISTORIC OBJECTS, RUINS OR SITES. Violators subject to arrest, a maximum fine of $20,000 or imprisonment. ENJOY BUT DO NOT DESTROY YOUR AMERICAN HERITAGE.
You are looking for a small lockable container, hidden next to a short rock outcrop. It is not located near or on any historical artifacts so don't go poking around inside those looking for it. There's no need to destroy or tear up the environment to find this one. Please return the container and re-hide as good or better than you found it. Feel free to look around after finding the cache and signing the log, but take nothing from the surrounding area. Although the road, mine, and cabin are on Black Hills National Forest public land, there is private property at the end of the road on the other side of the fence and gate. Please show respect to those land owners and don't go over there. Suggested parking coordinates are listed on the page below, at the "Y" road junction. From there it's just a short walk to the cache.
