We have walked this path many times, enduring the hillbilly shack eyesore, to get down to “our” beach. Our dogs love this beach and will run on ahead and go for a swim before we are able to catch up. Luckily the trains pass by relatively infrequently so crossing the railway line is not too stressful with dogs and kids in tow.
The first waypoint has been chosen as it is the safest place to park your car…just not in the drive away. It is best to proceed from here on foot. Depending on the season you may spot breaching whales or long lines of Cape Gannets following shoals of sardines.
As with most south coast beaches it is best to go in a small group or over the weekend. Just be aware of your surroundings.
This cache gets its D/T rating from the second waypoint which may be a bit tricky due to the trees playing havoc with your GPS.
