Before Heading to the Trail Head Parking, You Must Start the Related WheriGo, then proceed toward the Posted Coordinates to begin the cartridge.
This cache is my first wherigo. It is designed to be a complex multi and will take you anywhere from 1.5-3 hours, depending on which route you choose, how much backtracking you need to do, and how quickly you move from stage to stage.
The final s a small peanut butter jar (has been cleaned well) and has been wrapped in purple tape.
Your adventure starts by accessing Brantford's Waterworks Park. Optimal parking is located in the waypoint below, very close to the posted starting coordinates. From here, you will hike down the trail beyond. Make sure you start the Wherigo cartridge before you arrive at the posted coordinates.
The cache will give you a fairly lengthy tour of Waterworks Park, where you will collect the required info to catch The Thief.
Some things you need to know about Waterworks Park.
-parts of this park is heavily forested, and you will have to do some bushwacking
-there is plenty of things to be wary of in the forest; ticks, mosquitoes, stinging nettles, snakes, poison ivy, poison oak, giant hogweed, etc
- this cache is accessible 24/7, but may be easier in the daylight. This park is very busy with muggles (especially on bikes and with dogs), and there are soccer and ball fields which may be busy in the evenings.
-This area floods during the spring thaw, and not all parts of this cache will be accessible during this time.
You will definitely want to bring a number of items with you to complete this cache. These items are: Wherigo enabled device, mosquito spray with deet, and a good pair of hiking boots.
Should you be successful, you will be given a completion code that can be entered on the wherigo website..
