River Park is a "nature-based" 70-acre park where visitors are able to experience a variety of walking trails that will lead them on unpaved paths through the surrounding hills, a trail made of recycled tires beside the Catawba River, and a series of accessible boardwalk trails through the Wetlands. In addition there is also a kayak/canoe launch site, picnic tables and a large picnic shelter.
ALthough many local maps still lead River Park visitors to the Quality Circle entrance, this cache will lead you to the new entrance off of Waterford Park Dr. Although this entrance isn't completely finished at this time it is easy to see how nice it will be when the final plans are fully implemented.
The tree cover made the coordinates a bit jumpy but if you use your geo-sense you will soon be logging a find for another smiley.
