Not your typical Fig Newton Traditional Cache

Located in a rural city community garden.  Wonderful place to visit year round.  This location flooded during 2009.  Be sure to check out the highwater mark on the pole attached to the outdoor classroom.

Cache is located in the Terrell Community Garden off Owens Drive in Austell.  Park in the gravel lot accross from the garden.  The gravel pathways lead you through a tour of the garden.  Fruiting trees outside the fenced garden area are free for the picking...so come out the right time and you will leave a happy and full geocacher.  There are trees that have been on this site producing fruit and nuts for over 50 years.  Think Fig Newton as you search for this cache.  Cache is in a 3" long plastic water sample bottle just large enough to place a small trinket or two.  Also has a sign in sheet.  Be sure to bring your own pencil or pen.  Before you leave, check out the nature trail at the end of Owens Drive that leads to an observation deck on Sweetwater creek.
