****WINTER WARNING: We live in Arizonan and tend to forget that other places of the world get iced over for winter. Because of how this cache works, you may not be able to retrieve it if there is too much snow/ice. Before you drive over, take a look at the trees in your yard. If the branches are covered in ice, then you probably won't be able to get this cache, but please come by when there is a thaw.****
During a trip to the Paw Paw area of Michigan, I regularly traveled the side roads in and out of town. I truly enjoyed seeing the trees in the countryside because I currently reside in the desert region of Arizona where trees are rare. This site had particular importance for personal reasons. I hope you enjoy the short drive outside of Paw Paw. Visit the lovely creek down the road.
You are looking for a clear Lock & Lock container. It is hidden directly in front of a residence. Have no fear, the home owners are geocacher friendly and have given their complete permission and blessing for you to search for the cache; however, you are asked to only search during daylight hours. BEWARE, there is poison ivy nearby! Also beware of all the usual seasonal creepy crawlers that call Paw Paw home.
The cache contains a log book and pencil, but BYOP just to be safe.
Please honor the usual cache etiquette:
- If you take something, leave something.
- No junk or trash swag (coke tabs, rocks, random paper, etc).
- Place the cache back exactly as you found it.
- Be very gentle when retrieving and returning the cache as to not break it.
- Have fun searching!
