This is a cache with a view - if you're looking the right way. This is a black micro cache with just a log to sign but it's also my first Cache. It should be a relatively simple for any GC.
The South Yorkshire village of Treeton is close to Junction 33 of the M1, four miles from Rotherham and five from Sheffield. The Parish Church, described by Pevsner as 'a confusing building' is one of only fifteen South Yorkshire churches mentioned in the Domesday Book.
In Norman times, the Parish of Treeton included the townships of Ulley and Brampton-en-le-Morthen. In the township of Treeton, there was about 400 acres of land lying remote from it, located within the Manor of Wales - known as Waleswood.
If you have the co-ordinates correct, you will find yourself within the boundary of a large UK Supermarket so there is a serious muggle factor to contend with on this one......
You need to appreciate the view across to Treeton, especially the church tower, from this well stocked parking area. Keep to the right hand side of the car park. Whatever you do when you park, keep between the lines, don't go down the drain!!! You might get a better view if you lean over the fence.
