O ensino farmacêutico no Amazonas tem origem com a criação e instalação da Faculdade de Medicina da Escola Universitária Livre de Manáos (futura Universidade Federal do Amazonas), sendo a Faculdade integrada pelos cursos de Farmácia, Odontologia e Parteiras, e criada em 17 de Janeiro de 1909, ficando para um futuro próximo a instalação do curso de Medicina. Em 1º de Janeiro de 1912 a Faculdade formou os primeiros farmacêuticos.
Com a desagregação da Universidade de Manáos em 1926, os cursos de Farmácia e Odontologia permaneceram em funcionamento em uma unidade isolada de ensino superior, extinta em 1944.
Devido a reforma universitária, o Curso de Odontologia foi desvinculado da Faculdade de Farmácia, e em 26 de Janeiro de 1973 o MEC reconheceu o curso. Já em 1975 a Faculdade foi extinta e o Curso de Farmácia passou a integrar a Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde – FCS, juntamente com os cursos de Medicina e Odontologia.
Em 2007 foi aprovado o desmembramento e extinção da Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde, e criada a Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas.
Este prédio histórico abriga as instalações da Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas, mesmo antes desta possuir este nome.
A cache é uma homenagem aos farmacêuticos. Trata-se de um micro recipiente magnético, com espaço para swags, coins e pequenos TBs.

The pharmaceutical education in the state of Amazonas has its origin with the creation and installation of the Medical College from the Free University School of Manáos (future Federal University of Amazonas), being the College integrated by the courses of Pharmacy, Dentistry and Midwives, and created in January 17, 1909, leaving to a near future the instalation of the Medical School. On January 1, 1912 the College graduated the first pharmacists.
With the disintegration of the University of Manáos in 1926, the School of Pharmacy and Dentistry remained operating in a isolated unit of higher education, extinct in 1944.
Because the university reform, the Dentistry Course was unlinked from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and in January 26, 1973 the brasilian Ministry of Education has recognized the course. However, in 1975 the School was dismissed and the Course of Pharmacy joined the Faculty of Health Sciences, along with courses of Medicine and Dentistry.
In 2007 the dismemberment and extinction of the Faculty of Health Sciences was approved, and created the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
This historical building holds the facilities of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, even before it has this name.
The cache is a tribute to pharmacists. It is a magnetic micro container with space for swags, coins and small TBs.
