We have made many trips along the Withlacoochee State trail to collect the caches of the elemental, presidental, eat your vegatables, and marine series and have had a great time on each trip. We wanted to add a few caches to fill in some gaps along the trail for others to enjoy and expand on the elemental series by creating the molecular series.
C6H12O6 is the basic formula for glucose a simple sugar. It is an energy source for most organisms. It is directly absorbed into the bloodstream. Glucose is eventually oxidized into CO2 and H2O to provided energy (ATP). We could go on and on about the Krebs cycle but my school days are well behind and don't want to bring that up again.
