I have done a lot of kayaking on this lake and upstream, and a lot of caching here too. I decided to try to squeeze another one in on land. This park has a really nice nature trail that has been supported by the local Boy Scouts of America Troop 21. This one is for Gal, as it IS her lake. Just ask her, and the 3 closest caches to this one, hers of course. I recommend parking at the boat launch/trailhead for the nature trail and enjoy the hike back. However, I suspect many will opt for the easy parking along Malaga Park Drive near GZ and just dash into the woods. Either way, if you come in the right way there is no bushwhacking required. Beware, I averaged numbers for this one five times over as many weeks and my GPSr still wants me to explore the swampy area even though it’s supposed to know where the cache is. This one is not a ‘swampwhack’ (thanks Uncle Fuzzy for the new word) so use the hint and it becomes a difficulty 1 or do it the hard way. Be gentle with the camo and try to replace as found. BYOP!
