This cache is being placed in memory of Mr. Robert Heidt. Mr. Heidt was very involved with scouting at Chestnut Hill Elementary School in Millcreek Township. Mr. Heidt was Cubmaster for Pack 182 and Scoutmaster for Troop 182 for many years.
One of the memories that sticks with me is Mr. Heidt’s nickname, “Hobbs.” There was actually a song/jingle that the scouts made. It went something like this, “Hobber man, hobber man, spies on us when he can, hides in trees, hides in shrubs, spies on us when we grub.”
Please rehide the cache as you found it.
If you are a cacher who also knew Mr. Heidt, it would be great for you to include memories/stories about him in your log online.
