KidsFest Introduction to Geocaching - Lincoln Event Cache

Come along and help out the Next Generation. The Selwyn District Council runs the Introduction to Geocaching for children 9-12 as part of KidsFest every July. There are four events this year over two days – Leeston and Lincoln on Monday July 7 and West Melton and Darfield on Monday July 14.

This event starts at the Lincoln Event Centre.

The event is to help set up for, deliver, and pack down from, the KidsFest event. Showing up is all that’s required to log the event, but it would be extremely helpful if you would be able to stay long enough to help put out caches, follow a group of children around their caching route and help them if any problems arise, and help to remove caches at the end.

You will not be required to give your GPS device to children. The Council provides GPS units for this event.

Limited transportation will be available as there is space in One-Fang’s car if you are planning to go to both events on either day. Pickup/drop-off in Hornby. Please indicate on your intention to attend log if you would like to take advantage of this offer.
