This search will bring you along the trail southeast of Alexander Lake in Panola Mountain State Park. This cache is located just off the Rockdale River Trail. Enjoy the scenery as you hike or bike these trails.
The Rockdale River Trail can be strenuous at times. Be sure to carry plenty of water with you. Please re-hide well so others can enjoy this as well.

The pine trees in Panola Mountain State Park add a beautiful touch to the park’s natural landscape. The park is home to several types of pine trees, with the Loblolly Pine being one of the most common. These trees are tall, straight, and can grow up to 100 feet. Their long, slender needles and tall trunks give the forest a distinct look. Pine trees play a big role in the ecosystem of the park. They provide shelter and food for a variety of wildlife, including birds, squirrels, and even deer. The pines’ needles also create a soft, needle-covered forest floor, which helps protect the soil and maintain moisture.
In addition to their environmental importance, the scent of pine trees in the park is refreshing and adds to the peaceful, outdoor experience. Hiking through Panola Mountain State Park is a great way to enjoy the beauty of nature while breathing in the fresh, crisp air. Plus, the sound of the wind through the trees is pretty soothing, making it a perfect spot for anyone who loves the outdoors.
