About as far away from the trail head as you can get on the Loop Trail at Dan Nicholas Park. The sign at the trail head say allow 2 hours to hike this trail but I think this can be done much quicker by the average person. The trail can be rather slick after a rain as there are lots of exposed roots on the trail and you will want to bring water and bug spray during the summer. A beautiful mature hardwood forest is your reward for this hike and a nice clear trail, well maintained.
This cache is near Trail Marker 14, thus the name. It is about 30 feet off the trail and is a black bison tube hanging about chest high. It has been my expericnce that the cordinates can be off in this park by 30-40 feet. I check the accuracy when I set my coordinates and is was about 25-30 feet, so if the coordinates are not right on, expand you search area. Permit # 12 Rowan County Parks and Recreation.
