Because we picniced here when we were planning and planting these caches. Bring bugspray when its dry and the road down will be slippery when wet!
There was a lot of river debris from the 2013 floods deposited and woven this high up past the bank among those trees that survived. This "natural art" is a wild indicator of how high the water came and has created lots of potential GC spots that will remain accessible in winter. Not everything that has been deposited is firmly held in it's resting place, though it would probably take another flood to dislodge the majority of it.
