The Garrion Burn starts its short journey to the Clyde in the heathland above Carluke and mostly meanders its way, largely unseen except by the occasional animal, through rough farmland, before a final short dash through a deep cutting by the Horsely Brae.
You do not need to cross the fence, but you will have to poke your hand through it. If you open the nearby gate, please ensure that it is closed securely after you leave. The field that you are in will occasionally have sheep in it.
The route to the cache will sometimes be muddy.
