The CCLP will be making themselves available from 10AM to 6PM at E-Dot Park in Darrtown to talk about and share our love of the game. We will be bringing all our accumulated treasure, some creative sample geocaches, and offering up a collection of new caches to hunt. Stop by just long enough to claim the caches, or stick around a while longer. Prizes will be awarded to those who find all of the new caches.
You are responsible for purchasing your dinner/snacks/desserts and beverages.
UPDATE: The cache pages are complete, the containers are in place and the sweet prizes are stacking up on the floor of our geo-lair. Here is the breakdown. There will be nine caches in the event challenge. None are designed to be difficult, though inexperienced players may need assistance, in which case the hints are very specific. All of the caches are located in Darrtown, or within a mile or less of it. Six of the caches are traditional(two of which are located on private property with permission), one is a letterbox hybrid, one is a simple puzzle, and one is a three stage multi. There is a preexisting virtual geocache in town, so if you have not gotten it yet, the possibility exists to nail six cache types in a day if you are in to that sort of thing. New players, or those who have shied away from puzzle and multi caches in the past, will have the perfect opportunity to embrace them with the help of seasoned cachers. Oxford geocaching sensations MLZH will be joining the CCLP for the duration of the event and we will all be eager to 'get all up in your business', should you so desire. The completion of the nine caches will take anywhere from 90 minutes to three hours, depending on your skill level, and will provide you an excellent overview of the proud and interesting history of 200 year old Darrtown. Cachers will acquire nine keywords, one from each cache, to prove they are worthy to spin the fantastical CCLP Prize Wheel.....Wheel......Wheel.......Wheel!
