In order to claim a find on this challenge cache you must have found at least one physical geocache -- where a logsheet was signed -- in nine different states across two consecutive calendar days. List the nine qualifying caches you found in your online log. [See below for an example.] The rules:
- Each cache must be a bona fide cache on geocaching.com. Only caches with a physical logsheet to sign count. For example, earthcaches, webcams, and virtuals do NOT count.
- The nine logsheets must have been signed on any two consecutive calendar days.
- For caches where the cache owner allows multiple finds only the first find will count towards this challenge.
- Any instances known to OzGuff of a find date being changed in order to qualify for this challenge will lead to a deleted find log on this challenge cache.
- You may not sign the log for this challenge until you complete the challenge. That is, no signing this log and then completing the challenge at some date in the future.
- You may have completed the challenge at any time before or after this cache was hidden.
This cache was originally supposed to be a nine-in-twenty-four-hour challenge, but due to Geocaching.com guidelines, specifically "Importantly, geocache owners must consider how they will substantiate claims that the geocache requirements have been met. The challenge criteria on the geocache page must reflect this consideration, and must be verifiable through information on the Geocaching.com website.", I had to change it to a nine-in-two-calendar-days challenge. The name refers to the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance car race. If you can get nine states in one calendar day or in a 24-hour period, kudos! But in order to qualify for this challenge you can take things just a little bit slower.
Enjoy!
I completed this challenge between 4:45pm 5/25/14 and 3:40pm 5/26/14 on an epic post-GeoWoodstock XII road-trip with Chris of Fox Neumann and team.
