Fox Wood Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

jeepiz: I attended this morning to pick up the cache - but it's gone! The people who live across the footpath have used this area to dump their grass clippings. When I attended, the cache location was covered with a load of fresh grass clippings. I rifled through all these for a long while and found nothing (a middle sized box - so couldn't NOT find it...). The cache is gone. Despite the instructions being inside, the note explaining geocaching etc etc, it still just disappears with no trace and no contact. Muggles are really annoying. Anyway, that's the end of fox-wood. I will have to scout another area within fox-wood to see if I can find a more muggle free area if this is to be kept alive. For now, that's all folks! jeepiz.

Geocache Description:

A small clip-lock container containing a few memorables.

This is my first Geo-Cache and is placed to mark the end of a small era. The cache is placed on what used to be our daily commute to take one of our Mini-Geo's to the local school. The first time Mini-geo scooted through this area - she jumped off her scooter and proudly proclaimed this area saying "Look! This is Fox Wood!" - and Fox wood it became for the next two years. We thought it a great way to remember this route by placing a cache here - and thereby call this secret little woodland covered walkway "Fox Wood". You'd do well to post a look out whilst rummaging, as whilst it is busy at school times, the approach from both sides is fairly hidden, and muggles have a habit of creeping up on you!
