This cache is a temporary screw top cache container is a logbook and pencil due as the original cache suffered an RTA .

This is a place I have passed countless times and was totally unaware of its significance. On the day of the winter solstice, the sun sets over the top of the Barnhouse Stone, its last rays going on to illuminate the darkness of Maeshowe's inner chamber. The cache is placed in alignment with Maeshowe and the Barn House stone.
