Geocache Description:



This is cache is along the historic Monte Cristo Railway off the Mountian Loop Highway. The Old Robe Valley trailhead starts right next to the highway just a few miles east of Granite Falls and across from Green Mountain Road. Look for the big wooden sign and park along the highway. This short hike is beautiful and full of history. Be sure and continue your adventure after you find the cache and explore the railway tunnels. Be advised that the trail is closed about 1.2 miles in, about 2/10ths of a mile before the first tunnel you come to, Tunnel #6. Keep a close eye on little kids and dogs . . . can be tricky hiking for some inexperienced kids and dogs! Enjoy!!!!
