Geocache Description:

Parking is all around, a bit trickier if you want Mon-Sat metered parking. There are four public access points on different sides of this graveyard, so no need to hurt yourself "jumping a fence." Although access is 24/7, we only recommend doing this during the day, as there is evidence of a homeless soul nearby...

The container you seek is a cammoed Rx bottle with only a log. Please don't place anything of value in this cache, and don't forget to bring your own writing utensil.

This geocache is named for the white edifice on the northern side of the cemetery. Some of these headstones are extremely old. Please always be respectful of the grave sites as well as those visiting the grave sites. Don't forget to check out nearby Cabot Street, which has plenty of shops and restaurants.

If you enjoy "Melvillian"-themed caches, Premium members should seek our Dogtown (WNW of here) geocache, Whale's Jaw (visit link) .

First-To-Find prize is an American coin rarer than our usual leave, a 5¢ Liberty nickel from 1906. Problems arose from this coin’s original design, since it resembled the $5 coin in size. Those who were able to plate the nickels gold could redeem them for five dollars (real money in those days). Because the earlier version did not have a denomination on either side, such chicanery was possible. These gilded coins are known more commonly as “Racketeer Nickels.” This situation made it necessary for the striking of a new coin with the word “cents” on it to prevent further fraud. Congrats to robinjune&hubb for their FIRST first-to-find! I'm glad they were able to C.A. Ghost... (nyuk nyuk)
