Geocache Description:

THERE IS NOTHING HIDDEN at these coordinates, the cache and parking are within .4 miles (.6 km) of here. You're in a neighborhood with some nearly forgotten trails, you're about to check one out!

The cache is a salute to the 2013 World Champion Boston Red Sox, and a tip-of-the-hat to some folks who have helped made Cape Ann a special place to geocache!

Imagine a fictional geocaching summer event where we play softball... although I've met one-third of these folks, please cut me some slack as we're adapting this puzzle from the 1970s and I don't know everyone's height, town, gender, etc. (It's just a puzzle.)

THE PUZZLE:
Kennon did the catcher a favor by maintaining some of the catcher's caches.
Pinster is shopping for a GPS w/radio to give the one who plays second base.
The center fielder is taller than the right fielder.
Aefuss and the one who plays third base live in the same town.
Zipcode and Fiber Traveler each won swag at the pitcher's CITO event raffle.
Pinster and the outfielders mountain bike during their free time.
The pitcher showed off the latest GPS to the one who plays third base.
The infielders, pitcher and catcher except Fiber Traveler, Aefuss, and Kennon, are shorter than Marine.
Zipcode, Kennon and the shortstop spent $10 each on a geocoin.
Zipcode, Aefuss, Sisubuska, and the catcher went Night Caching with the one who plays second base.
Marine's GPS is recently "on the fritz."
The catcher and the one who plays third base crank through AA batteries.
Pinster, Zipcode, Bumble, the right fielder, and the center fielder geocache using smart phones.
The others use GPS receivers.
The shortstop, the one who plays third base, and Sisubuska each have more than 5 First-To-Finds.
One of the outfielders is either Goldfinch or Kennon.
Bumble is taller than Sisubuska.
Goldfinch is shorter than Sisubuska.
Each of them uses plenty of insect repellent, the one who plays third base sticks to urban caching.

Using these 'facts,' determine the names of the geocachers playing the various positions on the softball team. Don't bother researching their public profiles one-by-one, this is a logic puzzle and all you need to know about them is in the fictional scenario written above.

The two influential caches that preceded our creative process for this one were "Pigeon Hill" by ThatcherRoad (visit link) and "A Sweet Surprise" by pmattson1351 (visit link) . Odd for us to not offer parking coordinates...

The First-To-Find prize is a coin rarer than our usual leave, a Lincoln "wheat" cent from 1918 in a viewing box. 1918 is the year Fenway Park opened. Just think, nine more of these and you would've had a Grandstand seat! In 2014 it's more typical to pay $100/seat... FTF honors to Geo-Knot, whose efforts in Manchester-Essex have also made Cape Ann a better place to geocache!
