Big Tree Campout is the annual Girl Scout event in Oregon that is attended by dozens of Girl Scout troops from all over Oregon. Our troop learned about GPS receivers and geocaching during this year's Big Tree.
What better way to earn a Girl Scout Geocaching badge than to find some fun geocaches and hide a new one at LaPine State Park? From the campground, walk to the "dog exercise area" and follow the dirt road up the hill, then turn north onto the Deschutes Trail. A short hike will lead you to the Tube of Wonder.
