This is such a beautiful view! The red cliffs of volcanic activitiy of the past are in the distance. There is enough parking for two cars in this little pull out.
I have a series of dinosaur themed hides back home in San Diego called "Mesozoic Madness". I find it incredible the unthinkable amount of time it took for the Hawaiian Islands to form, but it is a blink of geologic time. Of course, no dinosaurs ever had opportunity to dwell here, but I decided to leave some tiny ones in this cache just the same. This is an easy grab, you don't even have to hop the rail. Just enjoy the view and contemplate time!
