The Girls Scouts of Central Texas, Texas Skies Service Unit, puts on a week-long day camp in Murphy Park every June. Each year there is a different theme, and the girls earn a badge related to the theme. For 2014, we were "The Pirates of Murphy Park" and the girls learned about geocaching. As one of their requirements, they had to hide a geocache. In deference to the Brownies in the unit, who were earning their letterboxing badge, we decided to make the cache a letterbox hybrid. So, inside you will find a resealable bag with logbook, pencil, stamp pad and daisy stamp for those with the inclination to letterbox. This cache would be a 0.5 difficulty if there were such a rating. It is placed with the full knowledge of the Texas Skies Service Unit. Please be stealthy, however, to minimize attention received by others using the park's nearby picnic tables and any itinerants in the area. Girl Scouts will be coming and going, so feel free to identify yourselves to them so they and their parents will not be suspicious of you. FTF prize is an unactivated Tiger Swallowtail geocoin donated for the cache. The girls are very excited about this cache, so feel free to post photos of yourselves, and tell them where you come from and if you were ever a girl/boy scout yourself!
