Geocache Description:

A cache at the end of the trail.

Motivated by Xklondike's challenge caches, I hiked this trail today so I could collect enough smilies to Get My Kicks On Route 66. I found all the caches on the Manzanita Trail, and after I found "Bullwhat?  BullFROG!" I noticed that the trail kept going.  I followed the trail to the end and found myself at the park boundary, with a marker that the land on the other side of the line belongs to the Le Deit Brothers.  I did a bit of research (OK, I used Google), and found that food was delivered by airplane to the snowbound Le Deit ranch in 1932, that there was a fire in 2008 from a controlled burn that wasn't quite controlled, and that there were a couple of minor legal disputes about easements; other than that I don't know anything about the ranch.  In any case, you don't need to leave Joseph Grant Park to find the hide.  You just need to find the park boundary.

This hide is dedicated to those cachers who keep tempting me to visit out-of-the-way places at the ends of trails, particularly to Xklondike, WERDAVE, Alpharoaming, and Ckayaks.   And now, Xklondike, you no longer have the park cleared out.

Congrats to rideappy for the FTF.

You're looking for a container about twice the size of a 35mm film can (remember those?) that could hold small trade items.
