Dark tales of a mysterious Woman in White surround these Bayou Boeuf communities. Stories of witchcraft, potions, shrunken heads and stolen body parts are rumored among the population as far back as Civil War days.

Legend has it that one of the LeVeaux sisters lived here on the crossroads of the Cocodrie Swamp and the Great Piney Woods, and over-curious residents sought out her dark services from time to time, resulting always in calamity.

Private research has revealed a cursed relic of the infamous Woman, hidden in lush grasses at the summit of a high mound, deep in spider-webs and angry, foreboding trees.
