In 1963, Dan Reinhold made his vision come true. He turned a dairy barn into a Professional Summer Stock Theatre.
Millbrook Playhouse is a traditional barn theatre with 2 stages: a 275-seat Main Stage theatre, and a 100-seat Cabaret Theatre. Main Stage season consists of three large-scale musicals and one play. Cabaret Theatre season consists of three smaller plays and one smaller musical. Millbrook also produces a very successful Children’s Theatre Program, which includes one spring play (in May) and two summer weekend shows (in June, July and August) as well as a kids summer theatre camp for two weeks in August. Improptu "Courtyard Cabaret" takes place after the Main Stage performances on Friday and Saturday evenings with many professional actors and local folks too!
This is an easy find, in a lovely, family-friendly venue. Handicap accessible and available year round. You are welcome to sit and enjoy as you sign the log and trade swag. Maybe you should keep your autograph book handy...you never know when you may see a famous actor!!
