You can reach the trailhead by hiking in from the Gold Lakes campground or use a 4x4 to venture in. Once you get to the Trailhead find the 2 large boulders, that's the the hidden trail, if you go down the road and go over the creek you've gone to far. The trail is overgrown in a few spots but the trail is in good shape. BYOP
The Gold Lake Mine (can't find a different name so I'm going by what we have read) is worth the hike in to see. The mineshafts are caved in, but lots of machinery and quartz everywhere. Wander around there is lots to see!!
