When I was a kid, our family had a camp out on St. Joe's Island. We used to go out there all the time and during the drive, we'd often ask things like... Are we there yet? How much longer? etc etc. My parents got sick of it and explained to us that this tower was the halfway marker between home and camp. So anytime we'd start to ask, they'd tell us to look for the tower. And whenever we'd pass it, my dad would shout out... HALF WAY TOWER! Sometimes it was a contest between us kids to see who could spot it first. Good times :) You are able to pull off the highway into a little driveway and park fairly safely. The cache is hidden before the gate.
You will need to bring your own pencil. Please be careful with the container and log as you roll it back up. There is a rusty fence at ground zero so be careful.
